FDAMH (Falkirk’s Mental Health Association) is a community-based charitable organisation that specialises in Mental Health and Wellbeing support and training. As an approved SQA Learning Centre, they are offering various training courses available to those within the Falkirk & District area.
- Managing Menopause – May 2024
This course has been funded by CVS Falkirk & District, and is available free of charge to any Falkirk & District residents wishing to attend. It is an informative and supportive short course that aims to help women deal with the unpleasant psychological effects that menopause can bring, such as anxiety and brain fog. The course takes place within the FDAMH building over four 2hour sessions, starting in May 2024.

- CBT for Menopause – June 2024
This course has been funded by CVS Falkirk & District, and is available free of charge to any Falkirk & District residents wishing to attend. This course provides therapeutic life skills for menopause. Whether you are going through menopause, peri-menopause, or just experiencing similar thoughts and feelings but not currently going through menopause, you are welcome to join. Facilitated by a CBT qualified therapist, the course takes place within the FDAMH building over two 3hour sessions, starting in June 2024.

- Promoting Better Sleep – 2024
Another fully funded course available to Falkirk & District residents delivered over three 2hour sessions. Disturbed sleep can impact on every aspect of our lives and reduces our mood and cognitive abilities. Lack of sleep can be caused by a number of reasons and this course looks at both the mechanics of sleep and ways to examine our sleep preparation, sleep quota and what barriers we may have to overcome to get a better sleep regime.
