We are a volunteer organisation, affiliated to Snowsport Scotland, which aims to promote alpine snowsports.
Polmonthill Snowsports Centre has been a unique local sports venue since first opening in 1973. In October 2024, members of the local community took over management of the Centre and saved it from closure. We look forward to managing the facility and providing skiing and snowboarding opportunities for the next 50 years.
Polmonthill is now managed by members of the community. Our charity, Polmonthill Community Snowsports Centre, was formed in 2024 as a response to Falkirk Council’s intention to close the facility. The charity and its members took control and operation of the Centre on 1st October 2024. Our Community Asset Transfer application to purchase the Centre is expected to conclude in 2025. Having kept the venue open, we are determined to provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy skiing and snowboarding.
Our dryslope is the perfect environment to learn to ski and snowboard and to practice and refine existing skills. We run regular private and group lessons for all abilities. Our expert instructors guide every skier and snowboarder according to their individual skill levels.
Our central location makes our facility highly accessible and our Centre is friendly and welcoming to all. Join us and experience a vibrant skiing culture, meet new people, and take your skiing and snowboarding to the next level.
We provide programs to promote healthy, active lifestyles, to support casual skiers and to introduce the sport to children and adults who have never skied before. We believe that growing snowsports means more than just increasing numbers. It means fewer barriers and more diversity, it means providing more opportunities for those of all backgrounds, all ages and all abilities.
