Supporting creative expression in young people. Delivering real-life benefits.
Kiran’s Trust provides support to young people through schools and organisations in all aspects of creative expression. Some of this support is in creative art, specifically to introduce ideas, techniques, skills and media which helps students to visually express themselves. Other support is in all the performance arts, providing opportunities for writing, music, drama and dance participation etc. In fact you think it we will support it!
OUR INSPIRATION
Kiran Martin died at the age of 18 from a brain tumour in 2008. She was one of these very creative, fun loving and magical people you meet every now and then, and she will never be forgotten.
Kiran’s Trust was founded on her 19th birthday, 9th October, in 2009, as way of giving thanks for her life and celebrating the creative arts and sports, which she held dear. The Trust recognises this passion in other young people and provides support to help them advance in further education and participation in these areas.
Kiran’s Trust is registered charity with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator. The directors are members of Kiran’s family and are responsible and accountable for the financial viability of the charity.
