A free confidential independent advocacy organisation who can help you get your voice heard and your rights protected!
Mission Statement
To promote the rights, freedoms and dignity of vulnerable people, to support people to have their say and to defend disadvantaged people from abuse and exploitation.
Our service
Forth Valley Advocacy provide a short term, issues-based independent advocacy service to people subject to the following statutory legislation:
The Mental Health Act
The Adults with Incapacity Act
The Adult Support and Protection Act
We work with clients over the age of 16 who have learning disability, a mental health problem, autism, an acquired brain injury or dementia. We also support vulnerable people and anyone under the age of 16 who is ‘subject to action’ under the Mental Health (Scotland) Act 2015.
Our Advocacy Workers work within hospital settings, care homes and in the wider community, dealing with a range of issues many of which involve complex legislative casework.
