Interested in activities and publications concerned with the wildlife, environment and heritage of the Forth area.
The Forth Naturalist and Historian (FNH) was set up in 1975 by several University and Central Regional Council (as it was then) staff. The aim was to provide a focus for activities and publications concerned with the wildlife, environment and heritage of the Forth area.
Today FNH activities are managed by an unpaid board of volunteers who publish the Forth Naturalist & Historian Journal and organize an annual Man and the Landscape conference/symposium which is usually held at Stirling University.
Relatively new endeavours are coordinating the Forth Valley Wildlife and Landscape Forum and a Historical and Archaeological Forum.
