Formed in 2018, the Falkirk District “Older People’s Network” (OPN) aims to facilitate discussion and debates around issues important to individuals over the age of 50 within the Falkirk District. A space to share knowledge, experience and practices, it also welcomes representatives from older people’s groups to increase and strengthen ties between the individuals and those who support them.
Since then, the Network has been facilitated by an independent team who have worked tirelessly to support our older population across the Falkirk District. Looking to strengthen cross-sector ties, in July 2025 it moved back under the remit of CVS Falkirk & District’s Forum and Networks offering, providing connection and community across the third sector. The inaugural meeting took place in August 2025.
