Women’s Financial Wellbeing in Scotland Event

March 10 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

To mark International Women’s Day 2026 (taking place each year on 8 March), Money Advice Scotland are hosting a free, online event focused on women’s financial wellbeing in Scotland. This event is ideal for anyone working in financial wellbeing or advice, women’s services, community support, policy, research or advocacy, or anyone with an interest in gender and money equality.

Taking place on Tuesday 10 March from 1–3pm, this session will bring together expert voices from across the third sector to explore the financial challenges women face and what the evidence tells us about how this impacts women’s financial wellbeing. Speakers will include:

  • Aberlour – discussing their research conducted on the gendered impact of public debt
  • Close the Gap – discussing the gender pay gap in Scotland
  • Scottish Women’s Aid – discussing the impact of economic and financial abuse
  • Financially Included – discussing the financial impact of other forms of gender-based violence

Each speaker will deliver a short presentation on women’s financial wellbeing in Scotland and the research or insight from their organisation’s work. This will be followed by panel Q&A session, for which attendees are invited to submit questions in advance.
