Trussell Trust Co-Production and Emergency Food Aid Provision Event
November 23, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeThe Trussell Trust is hosting a free event on Tuesday 23rd November, 2pm – 3pm, as part of Co-Production Week Scotland 2021.
“Involving people with lived experience in Emergency Food Aid Provision” will feature conversations about co-production, and the participation of people with lived experience around Emergency Food Aid Provision in Scotland.
Attendees will hear from Jeanette Bain-Burnett, the Director of Participation at the Trussell Trust, who will clarify what they mean by key terms like “co-production” and “participation”. She will also explain why this type of work is so valuable and important, and how it is central to the Trussell Trust network’s strategy moving forward.
There will then be a panel of speakers from across Scotland, who will talk about how their organisations have approached this kind of work, what challenges they have faced, and what they have learned and achieved through taking this approach. Panel members will include:
- Bethany Biggar: Director at the Edinburgh Food Project (a member of the Trussell Trust network)
- Jacky Close: Director at Faith in Community Dundee
- Philippa Roloff: Food Projects Coordinator at Govan Community Project (member of the Independent Food Aid Network)
There will then be time for a Q&A with all speakers.
