New Year, New You: Grangemouth Volunteer Recruitment Fayre

On Monday 20 January, CVS Falkirk & District will be bringing New Year, New You to Beancross and Newlands Community Hall, with lots of local groups to help people find the right volunteering role for them. 

Drop by any time 3pm – 6pm, bring the kids, chat to groups, and find out more about the fantastic charities making an impact across Grangemouth that you can get involved in, including: Cancer Research Shop (Grangemouth); Cycling Without Age; Cats Protection; Grangemouth Children’s Day; and many more. 

 New Year, New You features local events across Falkirk District, plus info on all the benefits of volunteering, and spotlighting local roles all month. The number of people volunteering has sadly dropped in the last few years, but this is people in Falkirk District’s chance to take part and provide the help the third sector so desperately needs.

As part of the CVS Falkirk & District New Year, New You campaign, there will be lots of local events across Falkirk District including information drop-ins and volunteer recruitment fayres for anyone looking to volunteer, who can meet with groups and organisations in their areas, and find out more about available opportunities.

New Year, New You is a celebration of volunteering in our communities, shining a light on the impressive range of ways to get involved. Events include:

• Thursday 9 January, 4pm – 7pm at Bonnybridge Library: Drop-in
• Monday 13 January, 4pm – 7pm at Bo’ness Library: Drop-in
• Wednesday 15 January, 12:30pm – 1:30pm (online): Lunchtime Drop-in (via Teams)
• Thursday 16 January, 6pm – 7pm at CVS Falkirk & District Office (Callendar Business Park): Open Evening
• Monday 20 January, 3pm – 6pm at Beancross & Newlands Community Centre, Grangemouth: Volunteer Recruitment Fayre
• Saturday 1 February, 12pm – 3pm, Dennyloanhead Community Hall: Volunteer Recruitment Fayre

Volunteers can stop by at any of these events to hear about local groups looking for volunteers to help them make a difference.
