National Playday 2025

Playday is the national day for play, celebrated each year across the UK on the first Wednesday in August. Playday 2025 will be celebrated on Wednesday 6 August 2025, with the theme “Spaces for Play”.

This year’s theme highlights the importance of accessible, inclusive spaces where children and young people have opportunities to play freely, spending time connecting with friends, and feel valued as part of their community.

Everyone is welcome to get involved, as anyone can organise a Playday event, or take part in Playday celebrations.
