Disability Employment Gap SPS Training for Employers

The Scottish Union of Supported Employment (SUSE) is the lead partner in the Disability Employment Gap Public Social Partnership (PSP), which has been commissioned by Scottish Government.

The PSP aims to increase employers’ confidence, awareness, and capacity to recruit and retain disabled employees. They will provide free, online introductory support and training sessions throughout March on topics related to fair and equal recruitment and employment practices, with the next sessions taking place on:

  • Monday 22nd March, 11am – 1pm
  • Wednesday 24th March, 11am – 1pm
  • Monday 29th March, 2pm – 4:30pm
  • Wednesday 31st March, 12m – 2:30pm

The PSP will also deliver 5 pilot projects focused on the following workstreams over the next 12 – 14 months:

  • Employment within the Public Sector
  • Attracting and Recruiting
  • Retention
  • Transitions
  • Under Represented Groups

With in each pilot project, the PSP would like to work with forward-thinking, inclusive, innovative and creative employers, whether or not they have previous experience of employing disabled people. They invite employers to note their interest in being involved with these projects now.
