Collaborating to Support Net Zero Webinar
April 27, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeCommunity Enterprise in Scotland (CEIS) and Interface have organised a free webinar for the third sector, looking at how collaborating with academia can support net zero goals.
Hosted by Social Enterprise Scotland, “Collaborating to Support Net Zero” takes place on Thursday 27th April, 11pm – 12pm, and will feature speakers from Creative Carbon Scotland, who will talk about how their partnership with a University has helped them achieve their net zero ambitions.
CEIS is an established social enterprise support agency, with a vision to make Scotland a better place to live and work with a more inclusive economy. To do so, they engage with businesses, communities and individuals to build capacity and to address inequality.
Interface provides free, impartial matching of organisations from a wide variety of national and international industries (including the third sector) to of Scotland’s universities, research institutes and colleges. They can also direct groups to funding sources for research and development projects.
This webinar is a continuation of a previous series, showcasing the support offered to enterprising third sector groups and organisations by Interface and their educational partners.
During the webinar, speakers and attendees will discuss how collaborating and working together can drive faster and greater impacts, the possibilities for more innovation within net zero, rural and communities, and for third sector groups and organisations to support Scottish Government’s ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2045, and how working with academics might support this.
CEIS will also speak about the work of the wider third sector group to support social enterprises in achieving the 2045 Net Zero ambitions, under the “Climate Confident Scotland” banner. There will also be opportunities for attendees to ask questions.
