Care with Confidence – Parent Carers Evening Zoom Sessions: “Planning for the Future 1: Guardianship”
February 22, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeFalkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre is bringing back their Care with Confidence sessions, and Information Afternoons for Professionals, with dates announced through to March, including their Care with Confidence – Parent Carers Evening Zoom Sessions.
Taking place online via Zoom in order to support parent carers with less availability or with strict schedules, sessions take place on:
- Wednesday 25th January, 6pm – 7:30pm: “ADHD/ADD”
- Often diagnosed alongside autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as a standalone condition, or missed altogether, this session will look at the traits associated with ADHD/ADD and how these can impact upon the individual, as well as how they can be understood and managed more effectively.
- Wednesday 22nd February, 6pm – 7:30pm: “Planning for the Future 1: Guardianship”
- “Should I apply for Guardianship, or do I need Power of Attorney?” This is a question the Carers Centre team is often asked. To answer this and more, they have invited Martin Monahan, a leading lawyer from Caesar and Howie, to talk about how, when and why parent carers should consider these options.
- Wednesday 29th March, 6pm – 7:30pm: “Epilepsy Awareness”
- This session will cover how to identify seizures, how to help someone having a seizure and how epilepsy impacts on day-to-day life. The session will aim to improve confidence when dealing with seizures, with time for questions and answers.
