Following on from our recent article highlighting the DWP Barriers to Employment Initiative and their invitation to receive partnership proposals, we have heard from some organisations who would be keen to meet and discuss further.
DWP and Jobcentre Plus are keen to work together with partners to improve the job prospects for people and communities facing the most complex and intractable barriers to employment, focusing on:
- immediate employment issues
- the prospects of future employment
This initiative is open to organisations operating in Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire with a partnership approach of at least 2 (or more) delivery partners. (This is essential criteria and a minimum requirement for the application).
With a closing date of Friday 21st August, we appreciate this leaves little time to come together, form a partnership and submit a project proposal.
Therefore, we have arranged a Zoom meeting on Monday 10th August at 2pm – 4pm, with speakers from DWP and Partnership for Procurement (P4P), and time for you to discuss various aspects of the initiative with potential partnership organisations.
If you are interested in attending, or for further information, please contact Scott Malcolm as soon as possible by email: scott.malcolm@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
A Zoom invitation and instructions on joining the meeting will then be sent to you.
