Big Lottery Fund Scotland’s Young Start fund reopened for applications on Thursday 30th August.
Young Start’s aim remains to fund activity helping children and young people aged 8 – 24 years old to become more confident and play an active part in realising their own potential.
Between £10,000 – £100,000 is available to voluntary and community sector organisations for up to 3 years. (Schools, public sector organisations and individuals will not be eligible.) The fund will support work where children and young people:
- have better physical, mental and emotional wellbeing
- have better connections with the wider community
- have access to new skills and training opportunities which will help them start a new job or business
Big Lottery Fund Scotland are looking to fund work that is people-led, strength-based and connected, particularly being led by young people, tapping into their strengths and interests, and fitting in with other provision, skills and assets locally.
