The Workplace Equality Fund (WEF) 2019/2020 is now open for applications.
£800,000 is available from Scottish Government for projects which can begin in October 2019, and complete by Monday 31st August 2020. Applicants can apply for a grant of £5000 – £50,000.
Amongst others, the fund is open to any third sector organisation, currently with a base in Scotland, which has agreement in place, prior to application, to work with a specific private business.
Scottish Government is keen to ensure that the economy is representative of society, and focus on delivering inclusive economic growth.
As a result, the WEF (managed by Impact Funding Partners) works with employers to address barriers particular groups face in entering and progressing in the labour market, in order to ensure everyone in Scotland has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Previously funded projects included those aiming to reduce employment inequalities, discrimination and barriers across a range of industries including the arts, tourism, construction and communication and STEM.
Projects must focus on one or more of 6 priority groups:
- members of minority ethnic communities
- people with disabilities
- people who experience gender based violence
- workers experiencing social isolation
- workers over 50 years old
- women (including women experiencing menopause, female partners of veterans and female veterans)
The deadline for applications is Wednesday 28th August.
