CVS Falkirk & District is delighted to welcome a new Chair of the Board, Derek Allison, following appointment at the CVS Falkirk & District AGM at the end of 2025, and coinciding with the launch of the new CVS Falkirk & District Strategic Plan, marking the start of a period of refreshed aspirations and opportunities for the future. Thanks were given to the outgoing Chair, Neil Bradbrook, for his commitment to the role and the organisation during his 3 year term.

Derek Allison is the Chief Executive Officer of Falkirk Foundation and previously held the role of CVS Falkirk & District’s Vice Chair of the Board, with Wendy Turner now stepping in to this role.

He brings significant knowledge and experience of the needs of Falkirk District communities, local strategic partnerships, and effective third sector leadership to the voluntary Chair role. Derek commented on his appointment to the Chair role:

“As a third sector CEO I know first-hand how important it is for a third sector organisation to have a strong, supportive Board so I am really pleased to confirm I am continuing my service, now in the Chair role. I value the role of the Third Sector Interface as a champion for the third sector and communities so it’s a meaningful way for me to give my time as a volunteer in a way that makes the most of the skills and experience I have gained throughout my career.”

Victoria McRae, CEO of CVS Falkirk & District, shared her reflections on the new Chair appointment:

“It’s a pleasure to appoint Derek as our organisation’s new Chair, and Wendy as the new Vice Chair, we appreciate the time, expertise and support they both have already given to our Board and I look forward to working with them and the wider Board as we make our new Strategic Plan a reality. Their support and belief in our team and our organisation’s mission and strategy make a big difference to us and we look forward to seeing what 2026 and beyond brings.”
