NHS Forth Valley are looking for volunteer befrienders to visit a person in the local area who is socially isolated and unable to attend community groups. The barriers to social connection are life-limiting physical conditions. Having a volunteer befriender visit once a week or fortnightly can vastly improve a person’s quality of life and sense of wellbeing.
With people waiting for befrienders across Falkirk – from Grangemouth to Bonnybridge & everywhere in between – there is the potential to be matched with someone reasonably close to where you live.
To engage with this opportunity, please contact Gillian Gunn, Community Development Worker by email at: gillian.gunn2@nhs.scot.
