Woodcraft Folk are a UK wide voluntary organisation and a registered educational charity who run groups for children and young people from toddlers to teenagers.
They are looking to recruit volunteers to take on roles which include planning and delivering taster session and group night activities with children and young people, and/or doing administrative roles and publicity. Volunteers will receive induction information, training and support through the Project Officer. This is a great opportunity to develop skills in working with children and young people and get experience of delivering a wide range of activities that are fun, and promote positive values.
Groups meet weekly (school term time) and go on day trips and overnight hosteling and camping trips at weekends and school holidays. Groups do a wide range of activities including games, crafts, cooking and drama. The organisation has an emphasis on outdoor activity including exploring nature, and bushcraft.
This opportunity takes places across the Falkirk District and is open to all ages. The timings are flexible and can be arranged with the organisation. Any out of pocket expenses will be paid fortnightly.
