Generations Working Together is actively recruiting a Local Network Volunteer Coordinator for Forth Valley to assist the National Development Officer in setting up, supporting and developing a new intergenerational network for the area.
The Volunteer Coordinator will have the opportunity to assist the National Development Officer to set up, strengthen and develop a local intergenerational network. The main role will be to plan, coordinate & facilitate 2-4 local network meetings per year, organising admin materials including agenda’s and meeting reports.
The coordinator will be a local point of contact for people interested in intergenerational (IG) work and will encourage local groups to showcase their IG work locally and possibly nationally via the network meetings and on the GWT website.
Training: The National Development Officer will provide inductions to all new recruits consisting of a one to one meeting (if possible) and online support. Coordinators will be invited to attend volunteer meetings twice a year for additional support and networking opportunities. A one-day intergenerational training course will be offered to all new recruits.
Expenses: Expenses will be reimbursed on a monthly basis. 40p per mile paid by cheque.
Restrictions: Over 18s only.
Location: Locations for meetings will vary to provide opportunities for everyone in the Forth Valley area to take part in the network. Meetings could take place in any of the towns for example: Falkirk, Alloa & Stirling.
