Recovery Scotland is a charity dedicated to providing a range of recovery focused services for people affected by addictions. They are looking to appoint a Recovery Development Worker to provide recovery focused activities within Forth Valley.
- Hours: Potential for Full-time (35 hours per week) or a Part-time post (17.5 hours per week).
- Salary: £22,255 – £23,610 pro-rata (SPS 22 – 24) for a full time post of 35 hours per week.
- Location: Based at Recovery Scotland’s premises in Falkirk.
- Duration: This is a limited term post until 31 October 2026 with the possibility of further extension depending on the availability of funds and the performance of the post holder.
The ideal applicant will:
- be passionate and enthusiastic about recovery
- have a recognised professional qualification or training award in social care/health care/community work/counselling/addiction studies to a minimum SVQ level 2 or equivalent
- have a good understanding of the impact that substance use can have on individuals, families and communities and you will be familiar with what works to promote and sustain recovery
- be able to work flexibly and creatively in motivating, supporting and encouraging people
If in recovery, they are looking for you to have had a minimum of one year stability from substance use or addictive behaviours.
This post requires an enhanced disclosure. Successful candidates must undertake a satisfactory Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Record for Restricted Work with Protected Adults.
