Recovery Scotland is a charity dedicated to providing a range of recovery focused services for people affected by addictions. They are looking to appoint a Recovery Worker to join their Assertive Recovery Outreach Team, to engage with hard-to-reach individuals in Clackmannanshire who are affected by problematic substance use and associated mental health problems, and to support and motivate them to engage with treatment services and recovery focused activities.
- Hours: Potential for Full-time (35 hours per week) or a Part-time post (28 hours per week)
- Salary: £22,255 – £23,610 pro-rata (SPS 22 – 24) based on a full time post of 35 hours per week
- Location: Based at Recovery Scotland’s premises in Falkirk
- Duration: This is a limited term post until 31 October 2026 with the possibility of further extension depending on the availability of funds and the performance of the post holder.
The ideal applicant will:
- be passionate and enthusiastic about recovery
- have a recognised professional qualification or training award in social care/health care/community work/counselling/addiction studies to a minimum SVQ level 2 or equivalent
- have a good understanding of the impact that substance use can have on individuals, families and communities and you will be familiar with what works to promote and sustain recovery
- be able to work flexibly and creatively in motivating, supporting and encouraging people
If in recovery, you must have had a minimum of one year stability from substance use or addictive behaviours.
This post requires an enhanced disclosure. Successful candidates must undertake a satisfactory Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Record for Restricted Work with Protected Adults.
