Addiction, Support and Counselling provide a range of counselling, community rehabilitation & support services for people affected by substance misuse to help them on the road to recovery.
ASC are seeking an Addictions Worker – Community Rehabilitation Services to join them in providing high quality and effective counselling to work 35 hours per week, fixed term 12 month contract for maternity leave.
Salary £23,697 to £26,235.
Working in Falkirk, you will use your assessment, care planning and group work skills to process referrals and to provide a range of key working and group-work based rehabilitation services. These will include psycho-educational interventions, relapse prevention and the development of coping strategies to overcome barriers to change. You will be passionate about recovery and promoting service user involvement throughout your work. Committed to using CBT techniques through a person centred approach you will be comfortable and competent in demonstrating evidence-based practice in the monitoring and recording of all aspects of your work.
You will have
- a recognised professional qualification to a minimum of SVQ level 4 in an appropriate profession
- a recognised award or qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), or be willing to obtain an award within 3 months of commencing employment
