Open to all third sector organisations (including charities, social enterprises, voluntary or community groups) working and supporting people in Falkirk District, our Third Sector Forums and Networks are free to attend. They are a space for the third sector across the district to come together when they may not otherwise have the chance.
The next forums taking place are:
- Employability Forum: 10-11am, May 29 2024 – online via MS Teams. Welcoming speakers from Falkirk Council’s Employment and Training Unit (ETU) to share information about funded training and qualification support available for employees.
- Safer and Empowered Communities Forum: 10am-12pm, May 22 2024 – in-person at Tamfourhill Community Hub, Machrie Court, Tamfourhill, FK1 4SD. This is the first in-person meeting of the SECF, with the meeting focusing on substance misuse, community approaches to addressing this and the range of meaningful supports available to those who are affected. We will welcome Phil Heaton, the Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (ADP) Lead for Falkirk, as well as some local groups developing their own approach to this area of work.
Further Third Sector Forums and Networks dates will be announced in due course. For further information, including how to attend any of these meetings, or to be added to the forum mailing list, please contact Kerrie Hoggan by email: kerrie.hoggan@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
