We are delighted to announce that Under the Trees have passed the accreditation to become a Volunteer Friendly organisation – congratulations!!
Volunteer Friendly is a quality standard regulated in Scotland by Volunteer Scotland and the TSI Scotland Network. It’s used to support, recognise and reward groups that are good at involving volunteers and is open to any organisation with an income of less than £200,000.
Here are some of the comments that the assessors made about Under the Trees submission:
“Congratulations on all your hard work creating and delivering your Volunteering Programme so successfully. The feedback from volunteers’ is fantastic and shows the level of support and dedication that is provided to them.”
“Congratulations on an outstanding portfolio submission and achieving the Volunteer Friendly Award!”
Under the Trees are an outdoor learning charity that provides a wide range of inclusive learning opportunities for all within the local community. Further information on volunteering with Under the Trees and how to apply can be found on the Volunteering section of their website.
Fraser from Under the Trees stated:
“It has been an invaluable process for us to engage in, and we have come away with a better volunteering programme and a plan for further improvement. I would recommend the Volunteer Friendly Award to all organisations who include volunteers in their work!”
We strongly encourage eligible organisations to put themselves forward to achieve the Award, and the CVS Falkirk & District Volunteering Team are happy to offer guidance and support – with an information session about the Volunteer Friendly Award coming soon. Subscribe to our e-bulletin to make sure you don’t miss out.
If you’re not eligible for Volunteer Friendly but demonstrate a strong commitment to volunteer involvement, why not consider seeking Investing in Volunteers accreditation instead?
