Trustee’s Week 2015 kicks off next week and is an annual celebration of all the good that trustees do through their role in charities.
It’s an opportunity to celebrate the great work that these volunteers do throughout the year and also an opportunity to attract new recruits; to draw attention to the opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a real difference – no formal qualifications are usually needed, and many charities need more trustees.
You can read more and get involved in the discussions taking place on facebook by searching for “Trustees Week – Scotland”. There will be a different theme every day from diversity to good governance as well as exploring the support and help out there for charities.
There are some great reads online from the challenges of creating an effective board to developing the next generation of trustees and recruiting young trustees.
If you are a current Trustee and haven’t yet signed up for the OSCR Meet the Regulator Event in Falkirk on Tuesday 10th November you can sign up via the Eventbrite website.
