About the Training
This course aims to provide managers and supervisors with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support staff, both within and outwith supervision, to recognise and respond to the impact of trauma.
Core themes of trauma informed practice will be explored, with a focus on how these can be meaningfully incorporated into supervision. The session will consider creating a trauma informed culture, supporting staff across the employee life cycle, promoting wellbeing and self-care, and the importance of the physical environment and communication within supervision. Participants should also develop practical tools to support regulation, resilience and wellbeing, and build confidence in using trauma informed language and helpful responses.
Time will be built in for action planning, supporting participants to consider how they will implement and embed their learning within their role. Participants will also be supported to apply a trauma informed lens to their workplace and consider how to facilitate learning and development around trauma within their team.
