Senscot and Perth and Kinross Social Enterprise Network (PKSEN) are hosting a Joint Thematic Social Enterprise Network Event in Perth on Thursday 16th June, 9:30am – 2pm at Salutation, 30-34 South Street, Perth, PH2 8PH. This is the first in a series of Joint Thematic SEN events taking place across Scotland, and places are still available.
They have announced that within the event’s local inspiration session you will hear from:
- Donna Murray-Trail from The Care and Wellbeing Co-op, talking about health and social care integration
- Emma MacGregor from Stirling Community Enterprise, speaking about employability
- Susan Curran from HM Frigate Unicorn, discussing tourism and heritage
There will also be a spotlight session, which will highlight the work of local social enterprises, including Re-Union Canal Boats and Caledonian Housing Association Home Help service. Both the spotlight session and networking lunch is open to MSPs and partners, and is an opportunity to speak to national support bodies such as Just Enterprise and Senscot Legal.
Working with Social Firms Scotland, Perth and Kinross SEN, Dundee SEN, Stirlingshire SEN, and Falkirk and District SEN, this event will provide space for in-depth discussion, strategic thinking, influencing and making broader connections, sharing good practice and developing ideas and pieces of work, and will hopefully lead to greater involvement for social enterprises within specific policy areas.
