Tesco Redding believe that no food should go to waste; therefore, they are committed to doing everything they can to make sure that where they have good quality surplus food, it is supplied to charities and community groups that help to feed those in need.
Their Community Food Connection programme, which is delivered in partnership with FareShare FoodCloud, links their store to local charities and community groups, working together to ensure that no good food goes to waste.
In total, this programme has seen 4.5 million meals worth of surplus food supplied to over 2,200 charities and community groups across the UK.
Tesco Redding would like to spread the word that they are leading the way in the retail industry and doing their best to make sure they support the local community.
They are always looking for not-for-profit organisation who may benefit from bakery, produce and dairy products. They can also donate grocery and non food products if their chosen charities need them.
