The Voluntary Action Fund has announced that community and faith based organisations with an income of below £250,000 per year can apply for grants of up to £15,000 to tackle sectarianism at the local level. The funding is being made available through the Tackling Sectarianism Small Grant Programme.
The main aim of the programme is to stimulate community – based activity that will increase understanding of how sectarianism impacts on the lives of people in different communities. In addition, the programme will support the communities to take action to tackle the sectarianism experienced. Projects should last for a maximum of one year.
Applications can be submitted any time until 1 December 2015, with all project activities completed by 19 February 2016.
