Our colleagues at Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) are currently recruiting for a Development and Engagement Coordinator (Volunteering and Employability).
The position is 28 hours per week, with a salary of £27,061 (pro rata), and one year’s fixed contract.
The Development and Engagement Coordinator will lead programmes that increase volunteering and employability opportunities in the third sector and contribute to local and national policy agendas such as No One Left Behind, Young Person’s Guarantee, and Stirling’s Alive with Volunteering.
The role will lead SVE’s work on volunteering and employability, including supporting third sector voice and brokering partnership between the third sector and the public sector.
As well as working directly with people who wish to volunteer, in order to gain skills and experiences for employment, the successful candidate will also work with third sector organisations to develop existing and new volunteering and employability opportunities.
SVE’s work supporting volunteering is a key part of the Stirling’s Alive with Volunteering Strategy, a multi-agency approach to developing and extending volunteering in Stirling. The successful candidate will take a key role in the development of Stirling’s Alive with Volunteering, supporting the creation and implementation of the action plan, and linking actions with the employability agenda.
“If you are passionate about volunteering and opportunities for people, and knowledgeable about employability then this could be the role for you!”
The selection process will include seeking PVG Scheme information.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 26th April, with interviews taking place the week beginning Monday 9th May.
Alternatively, both forms can be sent by post: Recruitment Private and Confidential, SVE, Cameron House, Forthside Way, Stirling, FK8 1QZ.
