The Joint Commissioning Group for Advocacy Services in Forth Valley is inviting comment about the future of professional independent advocacy services in Forth Valley.
The current contract for advocacy services across Forth Valley will be coming to an end in 2016. Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Councils and NHS Forth Valley (“the Partners”) are working together to assess the current and future requirements for advocacy services in Forth Valley with a view to putting in place an appropriate contractual arrangement to enable the Partners to fulfil their statutory obligations to provide advocacy services to eligible individuals in the Forth Valley area.
Looking forward, the Partners wish to ensure that vulnerable people have their rights protected and that people are helped to express their own needs and wishes when decisions are being made about their health or care services or when they are involved in any legal interventions about their health or care services.
If you would like to comment on the development of the service, please either complete the online survey, or send your comments directly by email to advocacyconsultation@stirling.gov.uk.
Comments can also be sent directly by post to Jennifer Baird, Planning & Commissioning Team, Stirling Council, Municipal Buildings, Corn Exchange Road, Stirling, FK8 2HU.
