Strathcarron Hospice is looking for schools, colleges, community groups, clubs and workplaces to host a fundraising yellow dress-up (or dress down) day, or organise any other fun #BeeYellow activity, whilst raising money for the Hospice at the same time.
Activities can take place any day in June.
One day of operating costs for the Hospice and all their services and support is £19,452; therefore every penny raised can make a difference to the lives of patients and their families.
Activity ideas could include (but are not restricted to):
- playing yellow themed games, eg. yellow balloon pop, duck race or hook-a-duck
- holding a “yummy yellow” bake sale
- hosting a lemon lunch for friends, with yellow themed food
- Custard Challenge: throwing or eating pies, or taking a custard bath
- planning a yellow themed quiz
- raffle a hamper of yellow goodies
- guessing the yellow sweetie jar
Marion Blaney, Community Campaign Co-ordinator at Strathcarron Hospice, said:
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone #BeeYellow this June in support of the Hospice!
“You can register your own #BeeYellow day with the Hospice today and let us know if there’s anything we can do to support you in your fundraising. The Hospice can provide a range of fundraising materials to support your event and it really is a great way to support the work that we do in providing vital care and support for patients and their families.”
For further information, or to register your event (and receive your registration pack and stickers), please visit the Strathcarron Hospice website (linked for your convenience).
