Carers UK is calling on unpaid carers to share their experiences in this year’s State of Caring survey before the upcoming deadline on Sunday 10 August 2025.

As the UK’s most extensive survey on unpaid caring, the findings help shape national and local policy and support campaigns for change, like paid carer’s leave and improvements to Carer’s Allowance.

Last year, over 12,500 carers contributed, influencing government reviews and raising awareness through national media. This year’s survey takes around 30 minutes and is open to unpaid carers (or former carers) supporting someone who is older, disabled or seriously ill. All responses are confidential.
