To celebrate St Andrew’s Day, throughout November Scottish Government are encouraging people in Scotland to do something kind for someone, one small act of kindness, and to share the story and its impact with the hashtag #MakeSomeonesDay.
On St Andrew’s Day, Friday 30th November, they will bring all content together on their website to create a “virtual wall of kindness”.
The campaign is designed to highlight that not only is Scotland a nice place to live, but that people in Scotland are motivated by the message that kindness matters and makes a difference, and the values surrounding this message.
In addition to the recent “We Are Scotland” branding, the campaign also supports the new St Andrew’s Fair Saturday, a range of cultural events planned to take place all over the country on Saturday 1st December, which will support local social causes.
As part of #MakeSomeonesDay, Scottish Government have released various toolkits, including one for the third sector.
