The Safer Streets Youth Action Project (SSYAP) 2023 Summer Programme is now live.
The summer programme is open to young people aged 10 – 16 years old in Camelon and Tamfourhill, offering a range of social learning opportunities, community arts projects, the opportunity to gain nationally recognised accreditations such as the Saltire Awards, and the Dynamic Youth Awards, along with summer fun activities.
In addition, in partnership with FEL Scotland, SSYAP is offering courses in bike maintenance with Dr Bike at both introduction and intermediate levels, for young people who have completed their bikability training, or who are looking to learn some skills to better look after and maintain their bikes.
Thanks to funding from the Falkirk Council Summer School Holiday Fund, the Twilight Sports programme will also continue to operate throughout the school holidays on Friday nights, plus summer activities in local parks across the area on Monday afternoons. This programme is free, and all young people will receive a healthy snack and drinks.
While the programmes are free, spaces are limited and booking is required. If a young person can no longer attend, SSYAP must be informed as soon as possible, in order to make the space available for another young person.
For further information on all summer activities with SSYAP, please view or download the full programme (linked for your convenience).
