sportscotland’s Sport Facilities Fund (SFF) supports capital projects which create or improve places where people take part in sport and physical activity.
The fund is open to groups and organisations including schools, area sports associations, sports trusts and charities, with grants up to £200,000 available. In areas of high deprivation, the maximum grant can be £250,000 (up to 75% of project costs).
sportscotland will give greater prioritisation to projects and applications supporting Return to Sport objectives and outcomes following the COVID-19 pandemic. Projects which can clearly demonstrate an inclusive approach (such as Changing Lives Through Sport and Physical Activity), or projects aimed at participants from underrepresented groups (including people from areas of high deprivation, with additional needs, or from ethnic minority communities and backgrounds) will also be prioritised.
The fund is open all year, with deadlines for new applications on 1st April and 1st September each year; the next deadline is Monday 1st April 2024.
Those interested in applying should contact sportscotland to discuss their project and eligibility before starting and submitting an application; contact sportscotland by email: facilities@sportscotland.org.uk
