We can now confirm 2 of our speakers who will join us for the Falkirk Third Sector Employability Summit!
Speaker: Into Work
We are delighted to announce that Into Work will join at the event to tell us more about how best the third sector can support employees and people seeking employment, who are disabled, neurodivergent or have a long-term health condition.
For 30 years, Into Work has been supporting disabled and neurodivergent people and those with long-term health conditions to achieve their goals of finding and keeping a paid job. Into Work provides a “wrap-around” service for their supported employment clients, with input from their welfare rights experts to improve and enhance the employability journey. (They also have advisory groups of people with lived experience helping direct and design the services they provide.)
Our speaker for the day, Tanya Knight, has been part of the Into Work team for 18 years, where she has developed, delivered and managed supported employment services and other associated delivery, such as their welfare rights and income maximisation services.

Speaker: The Poverty Alliance and Living Wage Scotland
We will also welcome colleagues from The Poverty Alliance to deliver a presentation about their Living Wage Scotland project, why the real Living Wage is so important, and the unique challenges third sector groups and organisations face in committing to paying the real Living Wage.
The project, established in April 2014, aims to increase the number of employers in Scotland who are recognised for paying their staff the Real Living Wage, and is a partnership with Living Wage Foundation, with Scottish Government as a key funder.
Their high-profile campaign has been hugely successful in accrediting more than 3,000 Living Wage employers in Scotland, who have delivered pay uplifts to the real Living Wage to more than 60,000 workers. Living Wage accreditation has delivered more than £365 million of extra wages to low paid workers in Scotland, and The Poverty Alliance has since expanded their engagement with employers on additional schemes that support fair work.
