Voluntary Action Fund has announced the launch of the new Social Isolation and Loneliness Fund on behalf of the Scottish Government.
The aim of the £500,000 one-year Fund is to support community-based projects tackling social isolation. Grants of up to £20,000 are available to voluntary and community groups (including social enterprises) for projects that achieve at least one of the following outcomes:
- An increase in social connectedness of people experiencing disadvantage
- A reduction in the effects of social isolation in people experiencing disadvantage.
The deadline for applications is Friday 20th May 2016.
