Social Investment Scotland (SIS) – who will be joining us at the in-person Falkirk Funders Fayre next month! – has launched the SIS Retail Bootcamp for 2023, and applications are now open.
Previously known at the SIS Retail Academy, this year’s immersive online programme will take place over 3 days, 9am – 2pm, with an overarching theme of brand alignment, aiming to support Scottish social enterprises with their product, service, or experience. The programme includes masterclasses with sector experts and international speakers, who will cover the skills and knowledge social enterprises need to sell.
SIS believes there is an opportunity for social enterprises to “align with leading corporate businesses with mutual customer bases, with an increased appetite to purchase in the social space, and who we know will be inspired by your values and impact”.
As a result, masterclasses will include topics on trends, routes to market and doing deals, customer insights, product, and development experience. The bootcamp has been designed to help shape plans and formulate the next steps, operationally and strategically.
This year, there will also be an opportunity to meet and pitch to buyers from well-known high street retailers, along with the chance to apply for the eBay for Change platform.
Places are £100 (plus VAT) each. The deadline for applications is Monday 20th February.
For further information, including how to apply for a place, please visit the dedicated page.
Alternatively, to speak to a member of the SIS team in person, along with a number of other funders and support organisations, come along to Falkirk Funders Fayre on Tuesday 7th March in Grangemouth!
