The next Silver Sunday takes place on Sunday 3^rd October.

Silver Sunday is a national day for older people (along with Older People’s Day), aiming to tackle loneliness and isolation. The event welcomes people of all ages to celebrate and appreciate older people across the UK. Celebrations can be online, in person, outdoors, indoors (where safe) – communities are encouraged to make it their own.

Silver Sunday urges everyone to follow current local government COVID-19 guidelines when planning and holding events and activites. The safety of attendees, staff, and volunteers is paramount.

Resources are available on the Silver Sunday website, including guides on organising events and care home participation, posters and invites, event decorations and suggested social media posts. People are encouraged to share their event online and tag @SilverSundayUK on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
