Signpost Recovery are looking for new members to join their Board of Directors.
The board meets bi-monthly, with meetings held in Alloa. They decide on the main direction of the organisation, the overall budget setting, the training and development strategy of Signpost Recovery, and any other new developments brought to them by the members themselves, key stakeholders, commissioners or Signpost Recovery employees.
There will also be opportunities for other involvement in the organisation.
- have a working knowledge and understanding of financial governance, planning and reporting
- have a commitment to the organisational objectives of Signpost Recovery, whereby they seek the advancement of health and the relief of those in need (by reason of ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage) by providing community access drug, alcohol, substance misuse and health and social care services in the Forth Valley area
- not be subject to a disqualification order issued by a court of law under the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986
- not be disqualified from acting as a company director by virtue of any provision of the Act or from acting in the management of a Scottish charity by virtue of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990 (or any statutory re-enactment or modification of this Act).
Directors are unpaid, but reasonable expenses will be met.
