The Rainbow Muslim Women’s Group, working in partnership with ShoeBox 4 Syria, have announced the launch of the 2017 shoebox campaign.
The campaign calls for donation of shoeboxes filled with toys and treats to be gifted to Syrian children in time for Eid celebrations.
To get involved in this task, follow the 4 steps below:
1) Get a shoebox (with a lid), wrap the box and lid separately in gift wrap.
2) Select the age range and gender of child you would like to send a gift to
- Girl ages 3-6
- Boy ages 3-6
- Girl ages 7-11
- Boy ages 7-11
3) Fill the box with toys, sweets, stationary or other small items. Please avoid second hand items, tinned food, military toys, sharp items and chocolate, as this may melt. Please ensure all sweets are suitable for vegetarians. Place lid on box but do not seal.
4) Deliver to the drop-off point at Bainsford Post Office, 244 Graham’s Road, Falkirk, FK2 7QP at the following times:
- Monday – Saturday, 10am – 7pm
- Sunday 12pm – 5pm
Boxes can be handed in at the counter. All shoebox donations must be received before Wednesday 19th April.
