It includes entries for various types of providers (including holiday accommodation, day services, activity groups), with a detailed search function, ensuring that users can find the most suitable respite options for themselves or their loved ones. Options can be filtered by age, care needs, location, and type of break.

All information on the directory is verified by Shared Care Scotland, and a series of quality checks is undertaken on an ongoing basis to ensure that every entry is validated. This includes checking for up to date contact details, and price information. This is designed to help carers, groups and organisations feel confident that they can trust the Shared Care Scotland directory as a source of accurate information.

Groups and organisations (such as short break providers) who wish to be included in the directory can add their record by creating a login on the directory (linked for your convenience).
