The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) are hosting a training event in Glasgow on the subject of Charity Trading, on Tuesday 12th September, 10am – 12pm at Burness Paull, 120 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7JL.
Led by Burness Paull, partners in SCVO’s free legal advice service, the interactive seminar will look at:
- when a charity can, and cannot trade
- what is primary purpose trading
- key features of a wholly-owned, non-charitable trading subsidiary
- practical issues around tax, risk management and governance
The seminar is free to SCVO members, or £30 for third sector non-members.
