Scottish Waterways Trust are looking for volunteers to join their small team at Rosebank Distillery, on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal. Volunteers will work with the Scottish Waterways Trust and Scottish Canals to protect and maintain this important and historic canal-side building.
This opportunity is currently only available for 4 weeks. The group will meet every Tuesday, starting Tuesday 9th August. All ages welcome, but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Rosebank Distillery is a listed building, and an important surviving example of an early Scottish Lowland whisky distillery complex. After closing in 1993, the building has lain unused and is on Scotland’s Buildings at Risk Register. Plans are in progress to save the building, but until then, volunteers can help to maintain the site.
