The Scottish Recovery Network is working to feed into the Scottish Government and COSLA Mental Health and Wellbeing Delivery Plan commitment to championing peer support.
They want to make sure peer support gets the positive recognition it deserves and as such they are highlighting the Big Scottish Peer Support Survey which closes on Monday 30 September 2024: The Big Scottish Peer Support Survey! (surveymonkey.com). This survey will help to feed into the Scottish Government and COSLA Mental Health and Wellbeing Delivery Plan’s commitment to championing peer support – and inform the Scottish Recovery Network’s work – by creating a fuller picture of what peer support looks like in Scotland (where it’s happening, who’s doing it and what’s needed to help it grow).
They are also hosting a Peer Connects Free Webinar on Embedding A Peer Support Workforce on the 8 October 2024. Lived experience roles (such as Peer Workers, Peer Managers and Lived Experience Strategic Leads) are an integral part of the mental health workforce. In this 60-minute webinar, they’re bringing together learning from across Scotland and England to explore ideas and considerations around implementing these roles. This webinar is for local and national Policy Leads working in mental health and wellbeing, third and public sector organisations, and Service Leads and Managers. To attend, please book your free place on Scottish Recovery Network’s Eventbrite channel.
