The Scottish Land Fund was relaunched in March 2016. As part of this relaunch, the programme was expanded to apply to both urban and rural projects.
Funded by the Scottish Government and delivered in partnership by the Big Lottery Fund and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the Scottish Land Fund offers grants of between £10,000 and £1 million to help communities take ownership of the land and buildings that matter to them, as well as practical support to develop their aspirations into viable projects.
The Scottish Land Fund is open to organisations which are community-led, community-controlled, and defined by a geographic area. A wide range of representative community bodies, including voluntary organisations, social enterprises or community councils, are able to apply for the Fund.
If the project is eligible, applicants will be assigned a Scottish Land Fund Adviser from Highlands and Islands Enterprise, who will work with the organization to develop their idea, and help them get ready to submit their application.
