The Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC) have released their new briefing on participation requests.
Participation requests are a way for people to have their say about improvements they would like to see made to public services they use. Community groups in Scotland have been able to submit requests since April 2017, as part of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.
Participation requests are viewed as an important step on the journey to effective co-production in Scotland, and SCDC are keen to make as many people aware of them as possible.
The new briefing highlights that, based on feedback received, more information and support needs to be available for groups who want to make participation requests, amongst other matters.
