The Forth Valley Public Protection Conference will be on Monday 21st November.
Organised on behalf of the Clackmannanshire and Stirling Public Protection Forum and the Falkirk Public Protection Chief Officers Group, the conference will focus on local and national collaborative practice in public protection, and the impact of working more closely together to address common issues.
The conference is open to frontline managers, supervisors and experienced practitioners who can represent their team or service and share learning following attendance at the conference.
There will be workshops on significant case review, hate crime, online risk and vulnerability, and Multi-agency Public Partnership Arrangements, amongst other subjects. Attending the conference will account for 6 hours of Continuous Personal Development, or equivalent.
Guest speakers will include:

- Paul Comely, National Adult Protection Coordinator, and Kathryn Mackay, Lecturer in Social Work, Stirling University (who will discuss “Themes Arising from Significant Case Reviews”)
- Professor Brigid Daniel, Faculty of Social Sciences, Stirling University (speaking about “Protection Across the Lifespan”)
Places will be allocated across the 3 local authorities, NHS Forth Valley, Police Scotland, and the voluntary sector.
